How SimuPipe Calculates

SimuPipe uses three solvers chosen by fluid and Mach number. The incompressible Q-H solver finds flow in each edge and head at each internal node by Newton iteration on Darcy-Weisbach friction with Colebrook-White roughness. The isothermal compressible P-ṁ solver works in P²-P² form with mass-flow unknowns; valve Kv enters via IEC 60534 with expansion factor Y and choking. The adiabatic P-ṁ-T solver adds temperature unknowns using stagnation-enthalpy balance.

Standards: IEC 60534-2-1 (control valves), ISO 5167 (orifice plates with Reader-Harris/Gallagher Cd), Crane TP-410 (fitting K-factors and tee branching), Peng-Robinson EOS (Z-factor for 20 non-ideal gases), IAPWS-IF97 (steam and water properties), and ASME B16.5/B16.47 (flange dimensions).
