Control Valve Cv/Kv Calculator

Size control valves and convert between flow coefficients Cv (US, gpm at 1 psi) and Kv (metric, m³/h at 1 bar). Three modes: a simple Cv↔Kv unit converter, liquid valve sizing from inlet/outlet pressure and flow, and gas valve sizing per IEC 60534-2-1 with the expansion factor Y, terminal pressure-drop ratio xT, and choked-flow detection.

For gases, the calculator accepts inlet pressure, outlet pressure or pressure drop, temperature, and gas properties (or pick from common gases). It returns required Kv, choking status, and the pressure-drop ratio x relative to xT × Fk.
