Pipe Schedule Dimensions

Reference tables for standard pipe dimensions: outside diameter (OD), wall thickness, and inside diameter (ID) by Nominal Pipe Size (NPS) and Diameter Nominal (DN). Covers carbon steel (ASME B36.10, Sch 5–160), stainless steel (ASME B36.19), EN 10220 / DIN 2448 metric steel pipe, EN 10255 / DIN 2440 threaded steel (series L, M, H), copper (ASTM B88 Type K/L/M and EN 1057), PVC (ASTM D1785 Sch 40/80), HDPE (ASTM D3035 and EN 12201 / ISO 4427 PE 100), ductile iron (AWWA C151), and galvanized iron.

Pipe IDs are essential for friction loss, pipe sizing, and any hydraulic calculation - nominal size alone does not give the actual flow area, especially for thicker schedules.

Related references: flange dimensions (ASME B16.5/B16.47), flange bolt-hole orientation. Calculators: pipe sizing, friction loss.
