Flash Steam Calculator

Calculate the quantity of flash steam produced when high-pressure condensate is let down to a lower pressure - for example, returning trap discharge to a flash tank or condensate header. Uses IAPWS-IF97 saturation enthalpies. Result is the flash fraction (kg flash steam per kg condensate) and the equivalent mass and volumetric flows.

Inputs: high-pressure side (saturated or subcooled condensate at P₁) and low-pressure side (P₂). Output drives flash-tank vent sizing, flash-steam recovery economics, and condensate-line two-phase sizing.
